Our story

Blues in a Blender started with a few guys that simply loved playing the music of the Grateful Dead, R&B, Blues and the like. So much that they were found in parking lots of Dead & Company for aftershow parties. Over the years, it evolved into more of a pickup game with some great local musicians. from various other projects in the Maryland area. Members of bands like Better Off Dead, Great Northern - Out of D.C., The Cyphers Band, Dead Musicians Stew, Soultet, and many more. 2026 brings a new focus to the band, with an amazing lineup that's going to be bringing some deep groovin' music with new covers, originals, studio work and much more. So stay tuned to the newest chapter of the Blues in a Blender history books.
